Update: on March 26, we learned that the agenda item regarding locating a Charter school at Taft has been pulled from the 3/27 agenda. More information as it becomes available.
San Diego Unified must provide an offer of excess space to Charter schools by April 1 (law has several qualifications of suitability etc.). A proposal to allocate the 8 bungalows on the back of Taft to Magnolia Science Academy #3 will go before the Board on March 27. The staff report acknowledges that the deadline pressure did not allow sufficient notice to the Taft community. The SDUSD Board meeting on March 27 begins at 5:30pm.
